Parent Volunteering

Each meet requires dozens of parent volunteers, whether it’s a Home or Away Meet. Some jobs require training, others can be learned on the spot. Review the list of jobs to find which may best suit your personality type!

Meets are divided into two Shifts:

  • Shift One: Events #1-#35
  • Shift Two: Events #36-#70

When you add in Set Up and Clean Up there are 4 volunteer shifts to choose from.

Arrival Times

  • Event Set Up Jobs typically have a 4:00pm arrival time
  • Shift 1 and Shift 2 are asked to check in no later than 5:30pm at the Volunteer Check In table (normally under a covered area near the entrance of each pool).
    • Shift 1 volunteers should be on the pool deck and ready to go by 5:45pm
    • Shift 2 volunteers will be called to report to the pool deck around race #35.
  • Event Clean Up Jobs start after event #70 and typically takes 30 minutes

You can sign up for multiple shifts during a meet, but each person is limited to one job per shift. Do you have grandparents, aunts, uncles, siblings over the age of 18, etc. that are interested in helping? They too can volunteer for your family. Just simply register under your name and let us know at Volunteer Check In who they are volunteering for!

Ask for Help

We know that volunteering in a shift isn't always feasible with work schedules, etc. so we also have needs for a few physical items for each meet that count as a volunteer shifts. Items like water, ice, as well as donut holes for Thursday practice (ribbons are handed out at Thursday practices and donut holes are served... you will quickly realize that getting the kids out of bed on Thursdays seems to be a little bit easier than other days! even after a late night!!)

If you are having trouble reaching our volunteer requirements, please reach out and let us know! We are here to help!
